Janie Snelson serves the AADE in leadership, governance, fiduciary responsibilities and oversight. Janie Snelson serves as a Director at Large on the National Board of the American Association of Drilling Engineers (AADE). She also serves on the board of the Permian Basin Chapter of AADE. The AADE was founded in New Orleans in 1978 and is made of up an affiliation of independent chapters licensed and governed by a National Board. The AADE’s mission is to consistently provide technical exchange specifically for Drilling Engineers. Eleven chapters are now active in New Orleans, Lafayette, Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Midland (Permian Basin), Oklahoma City-Tulsa (Mid-Continent), Denver, Bakersfield (West Coast), Anchorage, Corapolis, PA( Appalachian Basin ) and Central Texas (San Antonio). National AADE membership is nearing active members.
