ABOUT JAN REID
Working in economic development covering internationalisation, innovation and industry strategy development and implementation. I have worked with energy, water, engineering, electronics, aerospace and defence on industry strategy development with Scottish, UK and international stakeholders. As well as industry strategy development I support the implementation with responsibility for new programme and project development as required including EU projects. Experienced in programme management, cluster development, business development, EU programme application and management, stakeholder engagement and influencing and negotiation as well as managing teams. Currently I am focused on supporting the growing industries and opportunities of low carbon, specifically Clean Heat, Energy Efficiency and European funding for energy transition. I started my career with the Training Agency so also experienced in skills development and programmes. On a personal level I have a partner, and two children, both having fled the nest. I have completed the West Highland Way and Hadrian\'s Wall for charity, and the Ayrshire Coastal Path and the Cotswold\'s Way for fun.
