WORK HISTORY
VP of Catalog @Fetch
Birmingham, AL, US
I architect and lead the data infrastructure that powers Fetch\'s core business platform, managing distributed microservices with a lean engineering team & personally developing a number of ingestion frameworks & schema additions to the Fetch catalog.Major accomplishments include deploying Fetch\'s first production AI/ML capabilities, launching our first LLM application with 95%+ metadata consolidation accuracy. I\'ve scaled our product catalog corpus 100x, and built attribution systems handling 100M+ daily transactions. My team developed several critical ML models including transformer-based brand assignment systems & agentic frameworks for scalable product matching. This work resulted in a co-authored patent on ML-driven catalog management systems (US 2025/01•••42).I transformed our business intelligence approach, driving more accurate partner attribution through comprehensive catalog coverage. The catalog platform now powers a number of user-facing features and supports hundreds of prospective partner evaluations every year.Beyond the technical work, I\'ve evolved our catalog from isolated feature development into an enterprise data platform supporting a number of user-facing applications across the app, leading an embedded squad of data scientists, engineers & analysts.

ABOUT JAMEY HURST
I architect data platforms that power billion-dollar businesses. From building custom ERP systems for $10M international trading ventures to deploying the first production AI/ML capabilities at major tech platforms, I turn complex technical challenges into scalable business engines that drive massive impact. What I\'ve built recently:> Architected data infrastructure powering Fetch\'s traditional point-earning platform - enabling 70% automation of core revenue streams> Scaled product catalogs 100x, using distributed systems handling 100M+ daily transactions> Pioneered production LLM deployment achieving 95%+ accuracy while processing millions of product metadata points> Co-authored patent on ML-driven catalog management systems (US 2025/01•••42)My approach: I code, I lead, I scale. Whether it\'s managing microservices with a lean team or negotiating lumber deals in Mandarin across international ports of entry, I believe the best technology leaders stay hands-on while thinking strategically.Beyond work: You\'ll find me training for 200-mile ultramarathons (5x 100-mile finisher)- the same persistence and systematic planning that gets me through 30+ hours of trail running also drives my approach to solving complex technical challenges.Currently: Building the next generation of AI-powered catalog platforms and always happy to discuss distributed systems, machine learning in production, or ultrarunning strategy.
