ABOUT JAMES ONKEN-ARREDONDO

Natural curiosity coupled with a love of learning has led to a career with over 17 years of experience in multiple roles across the Learning and Development space. As an Instructional Designer, my unique blend of technical aptitude, love for technology, and digital design skills allowed me to craft highly engaging and innovative learning experiences. Working in a high-growth environment allowed me to grow my skills and competencies at the same pace as the organization, adapting and evolving to new challenges and opportunities as they arose. Moving from an IC role to a leadership role, I successfully built and managed an instructional design function from the ground up, honing my skills in leadership, recruitment, team building, strategic planning, and process development.I also had the unique opportunity to build and manage a multi-media function as an extension of our instructional design team. By combining the unique skills of these two functions, my organization was able to craft award-winning learning content for our internal and external customers.As a leader, I aspire to empower those around me by removing obstacles and equipping them with the necessary support and tools for success. I believe in transparent and open communication and leading by example. The have are the cornerstones of my leadership style, principles that have led to my success.
