ABOUT JAMES OLEARY

With a competitive spirit and a keen analytical mind, I am excited to make a meaningful impact on the workplace of any company. I thrive in collaborative environments that push me to grow and embrace my core Clifton Strengths of analytical and relator. As a dedicated Accounting and Finance major with a minor in Spanish, my passion for numbers fuels my career aspirations. I discovered my love for math in my high school accounting class, where I often took the lead in various group projects. Recently, I have had the privilege of working as an Audit Intern at Creative Planning, where I was able to hone my broader accounting knowledge and gain valuable insight into governmental accounting. Prior to this, I served as a Corporate Accounting Intern at Nelnet, where I learned valuable skills relating to internal controls and schedule preparation. Beyond this, I am also a member in various business organizations on campus, including the Big Red Investment Club where I am currently Vice President and had previously served as VP of Member Relations. My other involvements include Beta Alpha Psi, Delta Sigma Pi, and formerly, the Cornhusker Fund. Now, I am ready to broaden my horizons and explore the worlds of accounting and finance, with specific interests in healthcare and audit accounting. The puzzle solving aspect of both fascinate me, as they allow me to scrutinize documents and records, fulfilling my desire to be precise. Through these opportunities, I believe I am ready to be a valuable asset to any company that I work with. Currently, I am seeking an internship opportunities in accounting or finance for the 20••••26 school year. In addition, I am also searching for full time opportunities for after graduation. I am excited to find a team that shares my values and ambition about the possibilities that lie ahead. I would love to connect and explore how we can work together to achieve more!
