ABOUT JAMES LUU

BMO Family Office brings the comprehensive capabilities of a multi-family office to ultra-high net worth families. We work closely with clients to provide solutions for their banking, credit, investment and fiduciary needs. Mr. Luu joined BMO Family Office in 2010 and has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He is a member of the investment advisory team, which oversees and manages client relationships. He began his tenure at BMO Family Office as a Senior Performance Reporting Analyst, ultimately leaving that team as one of their Team Leads. Today, he works to develop and implement long-term investment policies, to analyze client portfolios, to recommend appropriate portfolio allocations and to select investment managers. He has been recognized for consistently providing a high level of service to our ultra-affluent clients.Mr. Luu received a BS in Finance from Linfield College and has completed advanced accounting coursework through the University of California, Los Angeles,(UCLA). He is a current board director of Chess for Success, a non-profit organization supporting after-school chess programs in Portland. He is a past board President of Hội Phụ Huynh, the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports the Vietnamese Dual Language Immersion program in Portland Public Schools. He is also a past member of the Risk Management Association of Oregon and SW Washington. Mr. Luu lives in Portland with his wife, two kids, their corgi and five backyard chickens. He is a lifelong fan of the Portland Trail Blazers and enjoys playing tennis competitively.
