ABOUT JACK CONNOLLY

Hi, I’m Jack! I\'m a play-by-play broadcaster, host and journalist who loves the energy, drama and storytelling that make sports meaningful. I’m currently earning my master’s degree in sports journalism at Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School. My path into broadcasting began long before I put on a headset. Growing up, I was drawn to the voices that brought games to life, and that interest followed me to St. Edward’s University in Austin, where I played baseball and earned awards for my sports reporting with the student newspaper. Those experiences taught me preparation, composure and how to tell stories that resonate with athletes and fans.In 2025, I broke the news of an MLB call-up on X that drew national attention and more than impressions — a moment that reinforced the responsibility of fast, accurate reporting.Over the past three years, I’ve called high school, NCAA Division I and II and summer-league baseball across the country. As the voice of the West Coast League’s Cowlitz Black Bears, I broadcast 57 games in 70 days while managing the team’s media relations to engage thousands of fans.I’ve also worked behind the scenes with ESPN’s Longhorn Network and covered the NCAA Men’s College World Series across broadcast, digital and social platforms, gaining a deeper understanding of production and collaboration.I’m working toward a long-term career in play-by-play, committed to preparation, authenticity, and telling stories that connect teams, athletes and communities.
