Fifteen years in energy across land operations, corporate finance, and credit underwriting gives me a perspective most people in this industry have only half of.I started as a petroleum landman in the Barnett Shale — title abstracts, lease negotiations, mineral owner relationships, drilling permits. Then supervised teams of landmen across acres in the Utica. I understand how energy projects actually work before they become financial transactions: the permitting, the stakeholder dynamics, the regulatory constraints that either move a project forward or kill it quietly.From there, an MBA from Rice with concentrations in Finance and Energy, followed by credit underwriting at BOK Financial. I structured and underwrote reserve-based and asset-based lending credits from $15MM single-bank deals to $600MM syndications, managing a portfolio exceeding $800MM.That combination means I can engage counterparties at the level they actually care about, build trust with technical stakeholders, and close complex multi-party agreements. I think in systems, work well independently, and have spent my career finding creative paths through constrained environments.Currently exploring opportunities in energy, infrastructure, and education — where real-world experience and the ability to think across systems are the differentiators.
