As a Degree Apprentice on a financial account, I play a key role in maintaining project financial health and supporting delivery teams across multiple engagements. My responsibilities vary day-to-day and include inputting forecasts, reviewing actuals, recognising revenue, and processing invoices.I collaborate closely with Engagement Managers (EMs), Project Managers (PMs), and Financial Controllers (FCs) to ensure accurate and timely reporting. During month-end, I lead the reconciliation of financial data - identifying imbalances, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring engagement records are finalised.To close each month, I deliver clear and concise month-end summaries to senior stakeholders, highlighting key outcomes and actions. This role has strengthened my financial acumen, stakeholder engagement, and communication under pressure.

ABOUT JACK GALE

Hi there I’m Jack, a Project Analyst at Capgemini, currently completing a Degree Apprenticeship in Chartered Management. I work across client engagements ranging from upwards of £7 million in value, helping to deliver complex, multi-sector projects within the UK Delivery team.In my role, I serve as a key point of contact between stakeholders and project teams - supporting delivery, managing reporting cycles, resolving issues, and ensuring milestones are met. I balance this with University and my role as a course representative, where I advocate for peers.Alongside delivery, I actively contribute to continuous improvement and internal culture:• Led the development of a Mentoring Scheme to foster knowledge sharing and skill-building. After confidently presenting the initiative on a monthly call to over 150 colleagues, we saw over 50 participants sign up, enhancing cross-team collaboration and leadership growth.• Contributed to the Opportunities Board, which helped match 8 unassigned staff with projects. This improved resource utilisation, kept employees engaged, and provided development opportunities.• Created 6 onboarding guides and improved team communication through monthly newsletters and learning materials.• Promoted culture through Capgemini Work Experience to 12 aspiring apprentices and through recognition initiatives.I’m steadily becoming a capable professional that can lead projects with confidence, clarity and care.
