I closely work with 20+ colleagues to combat fraud on the front lines on a daily basis. My colleague Paul Simala and I are entrusted with working independently on multiple work streams such as zelle fraud and closing open fraud cases ranging from ID theft to deposit fraud. On a typical day I can close 4-10 open cases which can include multiple callouts to customers or non customers. These calls can vary from verifying checks to informing an individual their identity has been stolen all while handling 40+ zelle requests and monitoring our team chat to assist any colleague in any way they need. This job requires an extreme attention to detail and an innate desire to be exploratory. If you aren’t checking for every possibility of fraud the fraudsters will slip through the cracks.

ABOUT IVAN VALDES
Hello! I am currently a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in Computer and Information science with a minor in digital marketing. I have currently worked on two major projects that I really enjoyed one being my senior project which was done for Florida Mission of Mercy a non-profit company where we built a web application from the ground up. The other was for my senior data analytics class where we gathered, cleaned, and merged 4 different data sets and created linear regression models to analyze and predict future values from trends found in the data Through these two projects I have found I have an interest in both data and business application creation and look forward to following this path in life.
