ABOUT ISIDORE MCCORMACK

My Project Management goal is to translate complex climate mitigation and energy system decarbonisation solutions for decision makers who need to understand them. Understanding stakeholder need, strong relationships, innovative solutions and clarity of technical message are key tools for me to drive successful projects and make impact.I have over 17 years of experience in implementing complex multidisciplinary engineering projects successfully in over 20 countries globally. I have in depth knowledge and strong understanding of market conditions globally for energy, energy regulation and associated market structures and have strong experience in business development for market growth internationally. My project management experience is broad ranging in the energy sector, with focus on decarbonizing energy supply and energy efficiency. It includes energy supply planning and feasibility studies for cities and utilities, due diligence of utility vendor deals, concept and detailed design, procurement and supervision of design and build contractors. I have lead large teams of experts to successfully deliver. I lean heavily on the tools of constant communication and follow up to make sure we as a team are all on the same page as to the agreed plan. Working across national boundaries and cultures means there are more than just linguistic barriers to overcome, meaning understanding of other working cultures, attitudes and approaches is necessary to ensure deadlines are met successfully and that issues can be anticipated and addressed in advance. I am an open communicator and enjoy a good atmosphere in the team and office. I am structured in my approach to all problems and get great satisfaction from re-organizing existing systems for better optimization and smoother operation. I am enthusiastic as an individual and am not daunted by challenge.
