ABOUT IMRAN FAROOQ SYED

Accomplished public health leader with over 20 years of experience designing and leading transformative health initiatives across India, Southeast Asia, and beyond. Currently serving as Executive Director – India at Resolve to Save Lives, where I lead national efforts focused on hypertension control, salt reduction, and trans fat elimination, while supporting the Ayushman Bharat Mission to strengthen primary healthcare.Previously, I served as Chief of Party for the USAID Tuberculosis Private Sector (TBPS) Activity in Indonesia with FHI 360, where I led a high-impact portfolio engaging private hospitals, enhancing access to cutting-edge TB diagnostics and medicines, and advancing digital interoperability for patient-centered care. With deep expertise in TB control and elimination, strategic health purchasing, polio eradication, and public-private partnerships, I have successfully managed multi-million-dollar projects supported by USAID, Global Fund, and the Gates Foundation. My approach centers on strengthening public-sector stewardship for private sector partnerships, catalyzing private-sector engagement, and building scalable solutions that improve access and equity. As I return to India after five years, I’m excited to reconnect with former colleagues and collaborators, build new partnerships, and contribute to a shared goal of saving lives and building healthier communities through evidence-based, sustainable public health interventions.
