Ikram Aleem received B.E. Degrees in Chemical & Biomedical Engineering from the CUNY in 1998. During undergraduate & post graduation worked as an engineering intern for Witco (present Chemtura) as a QC chemist/Process Engineer, R&D. Responsible for RM testing, regulatory compliance DEP/EPA sampling, generating COA, process optimization and scale-up of NPD. Then worked for Akzo Nobel as Research Engineer providing technical support for organic peroxide initiators in the thermoset polymer industry and performed DOE to investigate and characterize resin formulation. Then joined Lonza Bioscience as Sr. Process Engineer worked on multiple projects: VM, process optimization, participate in NPD of molecular biology diagnostic kits, and leading capital projects on manufacturing of diagnostic device kits. Joined Exactech as Polymer Research/Process Engineer worked on orthopedic total joint replacement to restore joint function. Responsible for supporting NPD, biomaterial selection, QC/QA documentation/procedures, IP/literature research, technical review of competitors data and products, regulatory support, and biomaterials research and testing to improve longevity of implants. Worked at Saint-Gobain as Process Engineer Manager responsible for engineering projects, continuous process improvement, and BHPT. Worked at Hospira as a Senior Process/Plant Engineer Manager SME responsible for capital projects, technological upgrade to aging systems, and CPI.
