WORK HISTORY
Innovation Lead @New York Institute Of Technology College Of Osteopathic Medicine At Arkansas State University
Old Westbury, NY, US
As the Innovation Team leader on Dr. Todd Cohen\'s Research Team, I have had the opportunity to delve into the exciting world of cardiac electrophysiology and make a meaningful impact through clinical research. Working with patient data from the Long Island Hearth Rhythm Center, I have been able to gain valuable insights into the inner workings of the heart and how to improve patient care. In addition to my research duties, I have also had the chance to gain hands-on experience in the clinic at NYITCOM Old Westbury and shadow Dr. Cohen at Mt. Sinai Morningside Hospital in Manhattan. I am currently the lead author on a case study investigating the potential benefits of remote monitoring for a patient with hypermobility syndrome, which has allowed me to expand my knowledge of both cardiac care and psychiatric medication. Through my work on this innovative team, I am constantly seeking out new ways to push the boundaries of what is possible in the field of cardiac electrophysiology.

ABOUT IAN SNYDER
As a full scholarship recipient through the Air Force Health Professions Scholarship Program and a commissioned Second Lieutenant, I am passionate about using my skills as a medical student at NYITCOM at Arkansas State to make a difference in the world. With a background in chemistry and a focus on biomedical research, I am driven to find innovative solutions to global health issues. My senior thesis at Vassar College, where I graduated with General and Departmental Honors as a Questbridge Scholar, explored the catalytic efficiency of antibiotic-resistance enzymes. I have also gained valuable research experience through internships at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, as well as studying at the prestigious University of Oxford in the UK. I am excited to continue growing and learning as a medical professional.
