o Accomplishes departmental and human resources objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees. o Provides input on budgetary planning and monitoring. Accountable for meeting departmental budgetary goals and conducts routine reviews of budge to support Company’s financial goals. Assures quality and food safety programs are value driven activities and are within the site budget expectations. o Assures successful compliance to Regulatory, Industry, Customers, Bakkavor Central and SQF requirements. o Maintains and monitors site quality and food safety KPIs and works cross-functionally to escalate any issues directly with General Manager and Senior Technical Team. Prepares monthly Quality/Food Safety Reports for Corporate Technical management review. o Supports the development, review and maintenance of HACCP/HARCP plans and assures the validation and verification activities are standardized and conducted for new items and/or product lines.Conducts HACCP/HARCP and Process audits to assure compliance to food safety management program and product quality/safety. o Developing and delivering training to ensure the organization understands and embraces quality and food safety procedures. o Works in a highly cross-functional environment driving team work and collaboration within plant and across Bakkavor plants. Leads cross-functional projects as delegated by technical and senior management. o Acts as Technical liaison during regulatory visits/inspections and assures that proper communication and follow up on areas of opportunity are communicated to plant and corporate management. o Leads crisis management events and maintains senior management abreast of issue at hand and propose corrective/preventive actions. Gathers and summarizes all needed data for senior management decision making, customer and media communication – as required.
