ABOUT HANS-JÜRGEN SALMHOFER
With over a decade of experience in the field of mobility transformation and transport decarbonisation, I am the Head of Department at the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK), where I lead a team of experts in developing and implementing innovative policies and solutions to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon and energy-efficient mobility system. My mission is to address the greatest challenge of our time - anthropogenic climate change - by harnessing the potential of renewable energy, electric vehicles, smart infrastructure, and behavioural change. I have a strong track record of delivering impactful results and fostering cross-sectoral collaboration, as well as a Master of Science in Energy and Transport Management and a Master\'s degree in Urban Technologies.
