ABOUT HANNAH SOISTER
I am passionate about all things literacy! Literacy skills directly correlate with student academic success and the abilities to communicate, express, and actively participate in the world. I have well-rounded experience delivering structured, explicit, multi-sensory instruction supported by the science of reading. I have over 6 years of experience in literacy-specific roles as a literacy interventionist, private literacy tutor, and reading program instructor. I have over 5 years of experience within a variety of K-12 school settings. I currently work as a literacy interventionist for Grades K-5 at Louisville Elementary and Superior Elementary in Boulder Valley School District. I hold an active Elementary Teaching License (K-6) through the Colorado Department of Education and earned my MA in Literacy Education through CU Denver. My students inspire me every day. I love leading them to find \"light-bulb moments\" of understanding and helping them grow as thinkers and global citizens, while having fun along the way! Ultimately, I strive to be a culturally competent educator emphasizing the strength in diversity and identity. I believe academic, emotional, and social development are best supported through individualized learning, empathy, and a growth mindset.
