Give specialized legal support to AKF, a top-rated 501(c)(3) charitable organization fighting kidney disease on all fronts, under the direction of the Vice President and General Counsel.Key Responsibilities:• Draft, review, negotiate, and redline various contracts and agreements. Ensure all contracts comply with legal requirements and organizational policies. Assist in developing and maintaining standard contract templates.• Monitor and ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Contribute to the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures. Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance.• Provide support in managing litigation and dispute resolution processes. Coordinate with outside counsel and assist in managing discovery processes. Maintain and organize litigation files and documents.• Assist in drafting and reviewing employment agreements and related documents. Participate in conducting internal investigations related to employment matters. Provide support in addressing employee-related legal issues.• Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of corporate records and governance documents. Support the organization of board meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes. Ensure compliance with corporate governance policies and procedures.• Manage trademark applications and correspondence with outside counsel. Gather and organize required documentation. Track all registered and pending trademarks.
