Trust is at the core of AirBnB. My team build foundational machine learning models and infrastructure to make AirBnB a safe and trustworthy platform for all. My team charters include: Fraud knowledge graph: model and understand user relationship/connections in order to protect good users from harm by bad actors. ML infrastructure: build model training framework, feature store, and observability tools that are used by ML engineers across the company. Core ML modeling: build common sharable ML signals/models such as embeddings, user risk scores, and trend detection, as well as help building product specific ML models such as ATO, Spam detection, fake accounts/inventory detection, and ChargeBack. As an ML engineering leader, I also co-lead company-wide initiatives such as ML engineer hiring, data privacy, and ML excellence.
