ABOUT GURPA SINGH
25 years experience in FMCG environment. I spent the first 13 years in a variety of Finance roles, including Divisional Finance Director for 4 Sites. I spent over 4 years as the S & OP Director, managing the supply chain for 15 sites. I have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of our supply chain, from farm to fork, which gave me the opportunity to take the S & OP role as I could apply that knowledge along with my financial background to execute decisions to improve both service to our customers as well as enhance company profitability.I have been involved in the re-structuring of the business which has resulted in consolidation and the subsequent removal of 5 sites. My current role is Site Director at Scunthorpe, which is the groups biggest UK site, driving a significant turnaround program following a £65m investment.Group turnover is £3bn, our division is the largest in the group contributing in excess of £1bn. We are a major supplier to virtually all of the UK’s leading Supermarkets. We also supply substantial volume to the QSM market.
