WORK HISTORY
Chair of the Board of Directors @National Immigration Law Center
Los Angeles, DC, US
Established in 1979, the National Immigration Law Center (NILC) is a leading organization in the U.S. exclusively dedicated to defending and advancing the rights of immigrants with low income. NILC uses a core set of integrated strategies to advance its mission: impact litigation; policy analysis & advocacy; and strategic communications. At NILC, we believe that all people who live in the U.S. should have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Over the years, NILC has been at the forefront of many of the country’s greatest challenges when it comes to immigration issues, and it plays a major leadership role in addressing the real-life impact of policies that affect the ability of low-income immigrants to prosper and thrive.

ABOUT GHAZAL TAJMIRI
I\'m a former corporate litigation attorney who left law for a more fulfilling career as a leadership and executive coach. It was not a quick transition after over 13 years of litigation experience in international law firms representing major corporations in various business matters. No meaningful lasting change is quick. The seeds of change rooted for me in 2020 and I began formally transitioning out of law two years later. I am now a certified Integral Coach, focused on helping leaders and changemakers elevate their success to avoid burnout and find greater fulfilment in their career and life. As a first-generation immigrant and mom to two young boys, I am particularly passionate about supporting driven women and people of color integrate various aspects of their intense lives (past and present) to operate at their best, both personally and professionally, while living a more joyful life.I am passionate about human rights, social justice, and safe spaces for authenticity. I believe that when people from marginalized or minoritized groups are supported in their excellence and warrior spirit, they can stand firmly in their power and change the world. And that when changemakers and allies are also supported, positive changes come about faster and are more enduring. This is the deep \"why\" of my work as a trauma-informed integral coach.
