ABOUT GAVVY M.

I am an accounting & advisory senior consultant. I joined Deloitte in 2021 from a medium-sized accounting firm, a global professional firm located across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, dedicated to providing tax and advisory services to the SME sector based in Auckland, Hamilton, Hawera and Timaru. I worked in the corporate sector for three years and in public practice for three and a half years before joining Deloitte. I am a provisional member of the Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand. I am interested in working with clients seeking technical excellence and proactive advice. I have strong attention to detail, strong problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills, with a drive to perform to a high level. I am a proven high performer in my current role. I provide tax compliance and proactively manages tax obligations with the support of experienced tax experts. I prepare annual financial statements and monthly accounting reports for internal and external requirements to various accounting and advisory clients, including retail, not-for-profit, agriculture, electricity distribution, and paperboard manufacturing. I have experience performing month-end procedures, including balance sheet reconciliations, debtors and creditors reports and preparing management reporting packs to clients, including monthly board reports and commentary, cashflow forecasts and variance reporting against budgets. During his time at Deloitte, I successfully completed a management accounting secondment to a local Regional Council. I help with consolidating financial accounts for the annual financial reports and have experience working with companies that use divisional reporting and has liaised with audit teams to ensure they receive accurate information. I work with clients to identify and correct system discrepancies, including reconciling invoicing and debtor management systems to provide a consistent and reconciled data set. This has allowed a solid base for accurate future reporting. I work with various software packages, including Xero, MYOB, Business Central, SAP, Infusion, Costcon Netsuite, Oddo, Sage, Banklink, APS, Reckon, Taxlab and Spotlight. I have advanced experience with Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Word.
