I have gained a variety of experience from eight plus years working in a finance environment. As my career has progressed, I continue to grow into new roles. Public Partnerships, LLC (“PPL”) introduced me to the payroll tax world which I really enjoy. I have experience with a variety of software, and I am confident I can master any software quickly. I am responsible for all New Jersey tax balancing\'s, filings, and payments for quarter and year-end. These must be accurate and filed timely.As the program owner for PPL’s largest Medicaid Domestic Household Employer account, I work weekly with the New Jersey agencies; Labor, Taxation, and Revenue. I resolve notices, use the rate exchange, and clear balances due on account and Management relies on me to write business letters that are used as templates for other team members. I am responsible for researching rates, taxes, and laws. I partner with customer service to ensure our clients questions are answered timely and provide explanations our clients deserve and appreciate. I enjoy these responsibilities and understand the importance of meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks.I love learning new strategies for solving problems. I know I am at least a pivot or VLOOKUP away from identifying a variance or reviewing employee documents for answers. From January to April, most of our clients’ questions relate to why PPL is not collecting enough FIT tax. A W-4 and IRS Publication 15-T usually answers that question. I prefer to work smarter and not harder, which involves collaborating with internal and external business partners.

   The requirements for the Tax Accountant position I currently have includes reconciling US payroll tax reporting for accurate filings. It requires general knowledge and application of US tax laws, accounting principles, standards, and concepts. Working in a collaborative work environment requires me to train new hires on reporting and calculating tax liability for quarter and year-end balancing. This has led me to document the balancing process and adjustment procedures since PPL is 100% remote. This shows strong leadership skills that offer support to team members who may struggle with a remote work environment. I perform adjustments, research, resolve notices, and work client cases including explaining the effect of the W4 form on an employee\'s year end W2. This position also requires problem solving skills to work with IT to improve process affecting data output.Working with governmental jurisdictions is critical to resolving notices and I communicate very well with the agencies. This includes pulling documentation and providing supporting data to show proof of timely payment and filings. I have past experience with tax registrations and work closely with PPL\'s registration team to identify the cause of an account setup issue. This requires coordinating with team members because I understand the importance of opening and closing accounts. With over 5+ years in payroll tax, I am currently the program owner for PPL\'s largest Medicaid Domestic Household Employer accounts. I am able to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with all levels within the organization. I am diligent with deadlines, work well under pressure, and I can work independently or with others and maintain confidential information.
