Since January 2025 I stand at the helm of the next major move of Baloise into the Cloud by migrating the suite of Guidewire solutions from on-premise to the GW Cloud on AWS. We call this “Guidewire Skylift”. This new program will deliver GW PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ContactMgr and the DataHub File Extractor to the Cloud and thus take advantage of the opportunities offered only in the new environment. 20••••25: Managing and delivering the strategic transition of a legacy data center into the new Center run by HCL to propel the system landscape into the future with agile methodology applied and to support the enterprise architecture vision. This will deliver the springboard for the next evolution into a vendor cloud. The project, called J2C (Journey-to-the-Cloud) has been successfully completed in March 2025 for the SBU Switzerland of Baloise.Additionally, since April 2023, I was responsible for delivering the next generation archiving solution to prepare systems and data for the Cloud by adopting new protocols and securing compatibility with legacy until full transformation. This has been completed in March 2025 as well.I am proud to be working with great colleagues, who support me all the way, implementing the Cloud strategy in the next years for Baloise, and with a series of vendor partners who accompany us with their expertise, visions and pragmatic approaches.
