I build AI products for education, productivity, and creativity — and I’ve been at it since 2016.I founded makr.ai, an AI orchestration lab with an agentic routing layer that coordinates across models and powers a portfolio of live products. I work across the full model landscape — not just Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google, but Z.ai, Moonshot AI, MiniMax, DeepSeek — because the best builders pick the right model for the job, not the most famous one. LLMs, voice, vision, video, audio, code generation — I touch all of it, daily.My applied AI work has been recognized with an Edison Award, CES Innovation Award, SXSW Innovation Award, Fast Company’s Next Big Things in Tech, Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies, and multiple NAB Product of the Year wins. I also consult with companies on AI strategy — helping teams evaluate models, architect agent systems, and get from pilot to production.I came to software through music and film. As a musician, I’m a multi-platinum recording artist who has played and recorded with Jackson Browne, Ry Cooder, Robbie Robertson, and Tower of Power. As a filmmaker, I’ve produced over 20 features — including work with the Duplass Brothers and Academy Award winner Adele Romanski. My films have been called “nothing short of iconic” by the Los Angeles Times and “powerful and eye opening” by the Hollywood Reporter. That path is why I build the way I do — I think in systems, I prototype fast, and I care as much about the experience layer as the model layer.I’m a Sundance and IFP Fellow. I co-chair Common Sense Media LA, where I work on AI safety for kids. I serve on the board of InsideOut Writers, where I started a screenwriting program for incarcerated youth.
