ABOUT FLORIAN LENECKE
I am a qualified experienced Mechanical Engineer and I have recently completed my Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering. I have 14 years of practical experience, predominantly in the Power and Utilities space, both locally (Germany) and internationally (Japan, South Africa, Poland and Netherlands). My strengths include managing diverse teams effectively, taking ownership and accountability for all my responsibilities, project management and actively resolving complex issues by utilising my previous experience in CAD. My preference for the role and enviroment I am exposed to, is one aligned to my hard working ethic that allows me to interact with people directly (this includes being actively involved with a hands on approach to project and team management). I enjoy being onsite, working with the teams to obtain optimal results as I believe that collaboration is key to solutioning, transparency, skills transfer and as a result success delivery of milestones and projects as a whole. Currently, I am on a secondment to our South African Head Office where I am Project Manager at Kusile Power Station which is one of the largest power construction sites in the world. Initially I was brought in to perform root cause analysis, highlight design issues, resolve these issues and bridged communication between the South African and German Head Offices.
