ABOUT FILIPE NZONGO

Thanks for checking out my profile — before you go, let me introduce myself!I’m Filipe Nzongo, designer, author, and researcher originally from Angola, currently based in Norway, after spending over a decade in São Paulo, Brazil. My career spans financial services, tech companies, startups, consulting firms, and academia, where I’ve taught at both master\'s and postgraduate levels.With a background in Software Engineering, I specialize in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) for mobile and web platforms, and hold a Master’s degree in Experience Design and Ubiquitous Computing.I\'m currently conducting advanced research at the Ocean Industries Concept Lab, part of the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) in Norway — a renowned research hub at the forefront of maritime innovation. My work focuses on Interaction Design, User Experience, and Human-Computer Interaction, with particular emphasis on sustainability, energy efficiency, and behavioral transformation. I explore how eco-feedback mechanisms, distributed cognition, and decision-support systems can enhance sustainable practices and cognitive performance in complex maritime environments.I’m also the author of “Design at Scale: Designing a Consistent Design System,” the first book on design systems and pattern libraries published in Portuguese. As a contributor to UX Collective (the largest design publication on Medium), I regularly publish essays on UX, interaction design, AI, behavioral design, and related topics. As a speaker, I have been featured at several international conferences, presenting on topics such as UX and UI Design, Gamification, Artificial Intelligence, Interaction Design, Usability Engineering, Design Systems, and Technology Mediation.Feel free to reach out if you\'d like to talk about design, technology, or anything in between.
