ABOUT FABIEN POLLY
I build neural architectures that don\'t use Transformers. My research program replaces self-attention with reaction-diffusion PDEs, the mathematics behind pattern formation in physics and biology. A single primitive (multi-scale Laplacian + learned reaction) handles language, vision, 3D medical imaging, real-time robotics, and world modeling. The results: O(N) complexity, 70x less memory than ViT, and real-time robotic control at 244Hz on commodity hardware.Three systems built on this foundation:FluidLM: Reaction-diffusion language model.FluidVLA: Vision (MNIST 91.75%, BrainTumour 3D Dice 0.918) and robotic control (4.1ms latency, SO-101 arm via LeRobot).FluidWorld: PDE-native world model with persistent latent memory and differentiable planning. Background: Before dedicating myself to AI research, I built an 18-year career in cybersecurity. My path wasn\'t just strategic; I started as a hands-on hacker and field expert before culminating in CISO roles across France\'s most sensitive sectors, including nuclear sites, energy grids, defense submarines (Top Secret clearance), and aerospace. I know what critical infrastructure security looks like from the inside, both offensively and defensively. Also: Creator of Bjorn (6K+ GitHub stars), an offensive security platform combining AI-driven reconnaissance and automated exploitation on embedded hardware.Currently collaborating with the University of Oxford on post-quantum cryptography and entanglement-inspired distributed systems. 3 preprints in preparation.
