2.5 yrs building machine learning tools to enhance Roche\'s pre-clinical drug development pipeline. Working closely with Genentech\'s Prescient Design small molecules team (see publications)- Delivered independent research, training state-of-the-art graph neural network potentials, producing a foundational model. Developed and deployed a ligand strain calculator, integrated into Roche’s lab-in-the-loop pipeline- Contributed new models and systematic improvements to biochemical potency prediction, including retrospective analyses. Supported multiple Chemistry team’s use of the tool through stakeholder management and a Streamlit dashboard.Side Projects- Leveraged a BERT-like transformer architecture to model longitudinal EHR lab values for adverse event prediction, developing custom pre-processing and harmonisation pipelines to enhance model performance- Led technical development of an advanced RAG legal compliance chatbot in LangChain, streamlining queries. Utilised advanced retrieval methods, systematic benchmarking and NLP techniques to eliminate hallucination.
