ABOUT EVA VAN DUIN
As a Mechanical Engineer I enjoy designing solutions for specific problems. To develop, design and test prototypes. To analyze problems and to do mechanical calculations. Learning something new every day. During my studies I specialized in Biomechanics, combining mechanical Engineering with human physiology and medical applications. I enjoyed my internship at Atesos AG, Switzerland, where they experienced me as dynamic, motivated and curious, following set targets with ambition. I worked on a measurement set up using close-range photogrammetry to measure a statistically representative quantity of retroreflective single-use targets. Furthermore I designed my first medical instruments. Modeling of human balance during walking was the subject of my Master thesis, with which I graduated in April 2016. My first working experience was at Spierings Medische Techniek, located in Nijmegen. My focus, as product development engineer, was on the design of an automatic, sterilizable bone mill. Furthermore I specialized in risk management ( & analysis) and biocompatibility as part of the medical CE documentation. In 2018 I started working at TCPM Ingenieurs & Adviseurs, a secondment agency, as Mechanical Engineer. My first project was at Hauzer Techno Coating, Venlo. Hauzer is a leading supplier of PVD and PACVD coating technology and equipment. Hauzer Flexicoat machines are built in mature modules that combine a high degree of flexibility with a consistent manufacturing quality. Currently I am employed at ASML as Mechanical Engineer of the SPM (stage positioning measurement) tooling team. The tooling I designed is able to mount a sensor at a very accurate level. Major part of working at ASML is documentation and presentation and an in depth analysis of every design choice made. All in all this makes the work high tech, interesting and challenging, both on human interaction level as well as technically, which I very much enjoy!
