ABOUT EROSHAN JAYAWARDHANE

With over 13 years of experience in software engineering and engineering management, I am passionate about delivering high-quality software products and leading high-performing teams. I have a master\'s degree in business administration, which enables me to understand business needs and align technical solutions with strategic goals. I am currently an engineering manager at Pearson Lanka, a leading global education company, where I manage three software development teams and am responsible for seven software products. I value innovation, collaboration, and diversity and strive to create a culture of excellence, learning, and inclusion in my teams. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the organization. I have worked in different domains, such as education, finance, and health care, and have led multiple migrations and revamps of software systems.As an engineering manager, I am actively involved in the technical review of all deliverables and guide the teams to maintain the highest standards and engineering best practices. I have experience with various tech stacks, such as React, Java, Node, and Angular, to develop software products that meet the needs of learners, educators, and institutions. I also oversee the people management of the teams, including hiring, mentoring, coaching, and performance evaluation. I am a member of the steering committee of the DE & I team of the organization, where I contribute to the initiatives and policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. I have successfully delivered three major migrations and revamps and have been recognized as the youngest engineering manager of the organization. I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies and share my knowledge and expertise.
