As President of AIGA Maine, I volunteer leading a statewide board of designers and creative professionals to strengthen Maine’s design community through programming, partnerships, and advocacy. Our chapter engages designers across New England and connects them to national AIGA initiatives.Key leadership areas include:–Guiding vision and strategy for chapter programming, outreach, and member engagement–Building partnerships with local agencies, sponsors, and national organizations (Adobe, coworking spaces, design schools)–Leading events such as Maine Design Fest, Freelancers’ Roundtables, MECA & D Portfolio Day, the Annual Poster Show, and workshops across the state–Supporting board development through governance, recruitment, and volunteer leadership trainingHighlights to date:–Quadrupled participation in 2025 AIGA Maine Design Fest with 440+ attendees across four cities–Expanded programming, including Typewalk tours, After Hours mixers, and Works in Progress talks–Strengthened connections between Maine’s creative community and national design networksThis volunteer leadership role complements my studio work at Foran Concepts, giving me opportunities to connect, collaborate, and advocate for design as a driver of community and positive change.
