The ‘Services’ career field includes fitness, sports and recreation, lodging, food, and occasionally mortuary/search and recovery operations. I am a Master Sergeant (E-7), with a 7-level Craftsman duty title, and a specialist in Fitness, Recreation, Lodging, and Food.– The \'part time\' just means I am required to do my one weekend a month,\'Drill Weekends,\' at my base along with 2 weeks of annual training per year. – Manage operations of the fitness and sports/recreation programs and facilities, along with 12 subordinates. – Continuously keep up with fitness program changes; distribute any new guidance to the base population in a timely manner. – Maintain liaison with all 22 UFPMs and 18 Commanders to help assist in readiness of all squadrons and units on base.– Oversee accuracy in recording and organizing personal classified fitness records for entire base population, consistent of more than 900 personnel.– Oversee accuracy of all fitness assessments conducted on base; train all 75+ Physical Training Leaders, UFPMs, and fitness staff. – Maintain $350K worth of facility equipment at fitness center.– Responsible for 6 indoor/outdoor sports facilities.– Manage all fitness/sporting events & organize/direct all volunteers for all events.– Create personal training programs for members based on their fitness levels and personal goals, including nutritional guidance.– Lead tours of fitness facilities, register new members, monitor front desk operations, and manage day to day operations and supervisory roles at the fitness center on base.
