About Ellen Southard
I founded Site Story as a firm dedicated to supporting community-enriching projects that emphasize storytelling and place making. With a background in history and education I work closely with both public and private sector clients to lead community outreach, engagement and education for planning efforts, preservation, public policy and sustainable communities. My projects span a wide variety of rural and urban conditions from preserving natural resources and open space to historic structures and preservation. In 2019 I completed a broad scale gap analysis of site and building certifications in the US and Canada. Current clients include: Seattle 2030 District, Duwamish river Cleanup Coalition, King County, Salmon-Safe, Seattle Tilth, and Talitha Consults.
