Oversee and direct crews per approved work plans and specifications as outlined by OSHA, Federal Railroad Administration, Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway, while providing quality assurance. Identify and mitigate risks or corrective actions per contingency plans; report out and gain agreement on corrective actions; and coordinate the resolution of such among and between the contractors and BNSF. Communicate defects, delays, and anticipated deadlines via weekly and daily construction reports to meet anticipated goals and ensure CHSR construction contractors abide by BNSF Railway construction standards, utility accommodation policy, design standards for track relocations and approved design plans and work plans Maintain and organize logbooks of construction material brought on site and important documents for client’s records. Assist and train peers on latest construction and safety procedures and protocols; review and oversee trainees so as to ensure BNSF’s satisfaction. Perform regular safety audits of the third-party contractor’s personnel for each construction site and report any non-compliance issues.
