Hello! I\'m Eduardo Carrera, a Mechanical Engineering student at UTEP with a minor in Geological Sciences. I am passionate about materials and design, and I currently work at the Keck Center for 3D Innovation, supporting research in polymer operations and additive manufacturing. My role involves operating advanced equipment, assisting with prototyping, and ensuring quality control in polymer fabrication.I\'m also gaining experience in computational chemistry, working with Dr. Shang to automate Gibbs free energy calculations for minerals and molecules using Gaussian and Python. This project aims to create a thermodynamic framework for future researchers.Previously, I was a UTEP Chemistry Peer Leader, where I facilitated active learning and co-created a learning workbook, with my strategies published in the PLTLIS Journal.Driven by curiosity and a commitment to excellence, I aim to explore opportunities in engineering, materials, and geochemistry research.
