Eben Frankenberg is President & CEO of Echodyne Corp which he co-founded in 2014 to bring metamaterials-based radar products to market. Echodyne is a privately held company whose investors include: Bill Gates, Madrona Venture Group, NEA, Vanedge, IQT, and others, Prior to founding Echodyne, Eben was an Executive at Intellectual Ventures (IV) where he created and incubated new companies including: Evolv Technologies, Inc.™ (2013) to deliver metamaterials-based security imaging products, Kymeta™ (2012) to deliver metamaterials-based satellite communication terminals, and TerraPower™ (2008) to deliver next generation nuclear power reactors. His responsibilities also included overseeing the IV Lab and Global Good. For his first 5 years at IV he served as the EVP and COO of IV, responsible for the day to day operations of the company as it grew from 50 to 550 people, and from $250MM to >$5B of capital under management. Prior to joining Intellectual Ventures, Eben spent 9 years at Onyx Software Corporation in various executive roles including: EVP Americas, EVP Business Development, SVP Sales & Marketing, and VP Sales. From he led sales and then sales and marketing as the company grew from $2M to $160M annual run rate and went from basement start-up to publicly traded NASDAQ company.Before joining Onyx, Eben was a geophysicist with Amoco. Eben received his B.A. Magna Cum Laude with High Honors from Dartmouth College, and a M.S. in Geophysics from Stanford University.
