I became a teacher after walking on the stage to perform for a ballroom full of music educators during my Junior year of high school. I found the joy that music brought to people by both performing and listening. At the time, my goal was to eventually have a choir perform at this music convention that inspired me to become a choir teacher. During college, I found that helping people succeed is what caused me to keep wanting to better myself. I will be graduating with my MBA in May 2022 with a concentration in Finance so I can pivot into a Financial Analyst role. I decided to go back to school because I want something different and to continue to better myself. I have always been a “math person,” so the ability to learn more about business financials caused me to geek out! I knew that a music education degree was very limiting career-wise, so I wanted a degree that would open doors in areas outside of education. Conducts detailed cost and variance analysis on direct labor, material usage, and capital projects to identify cost drivers and improve operational efficiency. Builds financial models and performance metrics to forecast manufacturing labor requirements, staffing needs, and productivity trends. Designed and implemented an electricity hedging model to forecast potential cost savings and mitigate exposure to energy price volatility.
