Currently managing J.B. Hunt\'s dedicated operation for Petco Animal Supplies in Portland, OR. My job duties are to manage this contracted operation including all equipment and assets. More specifically, I supervise the daily activities of all management staff and drivers, and maintain all equipment including adhering to strict service schedules. Beyond the day-to-day management of all business operations, I am also responsible for all hiring and development of new drivers, adherence to DOT regulation, ensure we are aiming to exceed our financially budgeted expectations, and the presentation of all data to all relevant stakeholders. My team and I work closely with Petco around the clock to provide versatile and lean coverage servicing all 86 store locations in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska.Beyond merely adhering to contractual, legal, and operational expectations, success in my current role and how I have directed my attention has primarily been on how our business and its assets can provide additional value beyond the previously mentioned expectations as well as the short and long-term design and implementation of process improvements projects.After establishing and maintaining a high standard of accurate data, addressing simple inefficiencies to further push toward optimization of our processes, and employing multiple new and original safety-related bonus structures for the drivers, we have been able to post historic results in terms of asset utilization, turnover, and safety. By prioritizing cost management, lean allocation of our resources, and continuing to bear the fruits of our safety efforts, our group aims to maintain this output as we create more value for Petco and continue to expand on our efforts to be capable and willing toward all changing needs.
