ABOUT GEETA NAYYAR

Healthcare is about people. When companies overlook that, they run into trouble. This common mistake harms patient health, clinician well-being, and business success. It lowers digital transformation’s potential by worsening inequities, alienating doctors and patients, and preventing new treatments and medical devices from hitting the market. Forgetting the human hurts everyone. But health tech, life sciences, medtech, payer, and provider executives and industry groups can do something about it: Remember that health is human. My name’s Dr. Geeta Nayyar, and I help leaders take a human approach to innovation, including rapid advances in artificial intelligence (AI). The result: Better health and business outcomes. As a keynote speaker, advisor, and board member, I show healthcare leaders how their companies can use new technologies and strategies to put patients and clinicians first — and how this simple change makes a difference for the measurements that matter most. My work is all about returning your sense of purpose and empowering you to grow for all our benefit. I draw my insights from my decades of experience as a physician in the boardroom. I’m a globally recognized chief medical officer, technologist, and author of the Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling book, “Dead Wrong: Diagnosing and Treating Healthcare’s Misinformation Illness.” I’m currently chief medical officer of RadiantGraph, a board member for the American Telemedicine Association, and an advisor to the American Medical Association. I’ve previously served as chief medical officer for Salesforce and AT & T, along with other executive roles. I speak at the healthcare industry’s preeminent events, and I’ve appeared on CNBC, CNN, FOX and other prominent media outlets. Up to 80 percent of our health is influenced outside the hospital walls — including in the workplace. Healthy, happy employees are more productive, which better positions companies to increase their bottom line and decrease their largest expense. That’s why I speak to large employers, showing them the hidden ways their actions can optimize employee and enterprise health. No matter your industry, you’re in the business of healthcare.
