Dr.Murthy as a Epic Application Manager within the Clinical Systems for hospitalized users (Inpatient Procedure Orders and Clinical Documentation) Ambulatory clinical systems (Ambulatory) and Clinical systems for auxiliary and specialized domains (ASAP, Optime etc.). He worked closely with clients, project teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and integration of Epic Systems, while adhering to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Being an early adopted of technology, Dr Murthy functioned as an advocate, Change Agent and served as a positive role model for encouraging others to embrace operational changes and transformation associated with the Epic implementation. He built several critical inpatient features such as Order Sets, Flowsheets, Assessment sheets, print groups and preference groups for various departments like Cardiology, Anesthesia and Pulmonology departments, in the process consolidated over 50% of individual orders into Order Sets and Panels resulting in significant improvement in the efficiency of doctors and nurses.
