Currently serve as the Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer (CDO) and Title IX Coordinator at Northern Kentucky University. In this role, I work collaboratively, through many constituents and structures, to advance the University’s Strategic Framework and Diversity Plan and to help shape a campus-wide culture of equity and inclusive excellence as one of the university’s core values. Serve as a Presidential Cabinet member, NKU’s representative to the Committee on Equal Opportunity at the Council of Postsecondary Education (CPE) and as the Chair of the President’s Campus Climate Team. Provide leadership for Equity, Diversity and Inclusive Excellence efforts across the university and communicate the strategic priorities clearly with internal and external stakeholders. As Title IX Coordinator, coordinate and oversee university programs to assure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, processes, best practices and training in compliance with anti-discrimination legislation and regulations, including Title VII, Title IX, VAWA, ADEA, ADA and Section 504. Monitor developments in law and best practices and recommend changes to university policies and practices related to diversity, equity, equal employment, Title IX and inclusion. Provide leadership to enhance faculty and staff Inclusive Excellence initiatives, including through collaboration with Human Resources to strengthen recruitment programs for faculty and staff; and supporting and contributing to studies of institutional needs and trends in areas related to faculty and staff inclusivity and disseminating findings to inform university efforts.
