ABOUT CEDRIC B. HOWARD

I would like to share information about my achievements and dedicated leadership career involvement in promoting, spawning, and/or expanding a broad spectrum of objectives for universities with which I’ve been associated. In more recent roles as Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment functions, I’ve influenced positive change and growth in the areas of Accreditation, Admissions, Student Engagement and development, Wellness, and support, Inclusion, International Student Support Services, Athletics and recreation, Student Housing, Campus Security, Grant Proposals, and Fundraising. Besides being a published writer, speaker, and presenter, I am highly effective in collaborative committee settings teaming with other educational leaders to develop and plan value-added services to draw and retain students, meet changing/expanding student needs in a variety of ways, and represent the university mission in education. My education includes an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management, an M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from the University of Tennessee, and a BS in Psychology from Georgia College and State University. A couple of my overall achievements include bringing to fruition projects totaling more than $400 M in new construction and $200 M in renovations to complement campus spaces. I’ve also secured funding for more than $90 M for scholarships and student-related programs. I’ve held faculty appointments teaching at lower, upper divisions, and graduate levels. I possess significant strategic planning and regional accreditation experience serving the Middle State Accreditation Commission on Higher Education and have been affiliated with the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) in several capacities.
