ABOUT DON PETRI
My interest in logistics and transportation began during my college years while playing racquetball with individuals in the transportation industry. Their passion for the field drew my attention. I entered a management trainee program with a large and well-known transportation company to learn about areas like driver recruitment, sales, safety, truck driving and operations. I wanted to experience a day in the life of a truck driver, so I shadowed drivers and asked to be taken to the more difficult pick-up locations to get a sense of what they endure day-to-day. During this program, I realized that this was something I wanted to pursue long-term and become an expert in. Thirty Five years later, and with valuable experience under my belt, I\'ve had the pleasure of working with companies varying in size and industry, goals and challenges. I enjoy sitting down with customers and determining how we can transform their objectives into achievements – and they enjoy having a dedicated resource that they can count on before, during and after the sale. At Hub Group, we have a diverse team of individuals that are straightforward, honest and passionate about the work that they do. We like to make a difference in our customer\'s supply chains.
