ABOUT DAVID JOHN SANFEY

I have spent 30 years in Ireland and in New York with one of Ireland’s largest law firms - A&L Goodbody. I retired early as Senior Partner after my time as Head of the Commercial / Corporate Department to become more involved in Board and Consultancy work. With over two decades of experience since as an Independent Non-Executive Board Director, currently serving with Ancestry, Mace Consult, Lachman Consultants, SIS Media, Arcserve and others, I focus on strengthening corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic oversight for multinational organizations. Leveraging extensive expertise in corporate law, risk management, and board responsibilities, I contribute to the successful navigation of complex business challenges, particularly for subsidiaries operating or with interests in the European and Irish markets. My tenure includes supporting global companies in implementation robust governance frameworks and enabling efficient regulatory alignment. Known for a collaborative and thoughtful approach, I prioritize fostering sustainable business practices and informed decision-making at the board level. My mission is to drive impactful contributions that support organizational goals while ensuring the highest standards of compliance and governance. Also, I have strong personal and business interests, through contacts and consultancies in Sport, Wine, Hospitality, GeoPolitics, Travel affairs and industries…. which help to keep me busy, and on the move …!
