ABOUT DENIS COMET

Denis Comet (1960, MD), university degree in methodology applied to clinical research, university degree in health evaluation, management course in HEC school, member of the French epidemiologists association (ADELF). After several years of freelance work in medical writing for the pharmaceutical industry and medical press, I founded the company Axonal in 1989 with other physicians, a French full services CRO (Clinical Research Organization) in the top 5 of French independent CRO and leader in observational research, where I hold the position of CEO. Our business is mainly (70%) on Real World Studies (post-approval studies) in the field of drug, medical device (20% of our revenues) and nutrition; 30% in Phase II and CT, essentially in oncology. In the last 6 years, we worked with other local CROs, and Axonal become an European company thru those partnerships. Professional and associative memberships: President of AFCROs (Association Française des CROs, CROs French Association), member and former coordinator of pharmaco-epidemiology working group of AFCROs. Actual co-chair of Late Phase Working Group of EUCROF (European CRO Federation) and former French representative at the board of EUCROF.
