ABOUT DENIS CHEVALIER
With over 15 years of experience in software engineering, I am a passionate and versatile developer who thrives in challenging and disruptive environments. I am currently a Staff Engineer at Electra, a leading company in the field of electric mobility, where I help the team grow and scale, and create a vision for the future. My core competencies include web applications, backend architecture, and compiler development. I have a strong background in Golang, SQL, Ruby, and functional programming, and I am proficient in multiple languages, including English, Italian, and French. I am also an avid learner, constantly expanding my knowledge and skills through online courses and personal projects. One of my personal projects is a compiler for a minimalist lambda calculus programming language, known as λ.c. This project combines my interests in computational theory, logic, and mathematics, and showcases my creativity and problem-solving abilities. I am also the author of an upcoming book on Staff Engineering, which will provide a comprehensive guide for aspiring and experienced engineers alike. Additionally, I am working on another book that explores the philosophical implications of technology and artificial intelligence. Besides software engineering, I am also a published musician, with five full-length records and EPs. Music is a form of artistic expression that allows me to explore different aspects of myself and the world. I enjoy playing various instruments, composing, and experimenting with different genres and styles. I am also an enthusiastic hiker, and I value physical and mental well-being as essential components of a balanced and fulfilling life.
