ABOUT DEB SCHMIDT

I have long-standing and progressive operational and leadership experience and skills in working with health care services from a variety of perspectives. I have rebuilt workforces which subsequently stabilized clinical outcomes. I have re-established and implemented structured quality improvement programs, reintroduced accountability systems, developed competent clinical teams and re-established financial solvency. Throughout my leadership, I was successful in meeting organizations’ requirements and objectives. My regional opportunities afforded me a heightened awareness of my strength in coaching multiple sites. The implementation of new systems required a re-educational and organized approach to change which ultimately offered improvement in clinical outcomes and employee morale.My experiences include but are not limited to general line management in a combination of hospital, long-term care, home care, home infusion and retail healthcare. A comprehensive clinical background as a Registered Nurse enhances my ability to broadly survey fundamental and potential flaws within operational systems while maintaining an understanding of the subtleties and nuances of clinical variances, which may cause easily correctable flaws.
