ABOUT DEBBIE SOKOLOV

With over twenty-five years of experience in the nonprofit sector, I am a passionate and skilled leader, writer, and fundraiser who is dedicated to making a difference in the world of art and culture. As the Deputy Director for Development and Communications at the James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art, I oversee the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of all fundraising and communication initiatives for the only western museum in the state of Florida. My mission is to work with the leadership team, board of directors, staff, and donors to ever-create and preserve a premier art museum that educates, entertains, and extols the virtue of art and culture in the minds and lives of our visitors. In my previous roles as the Director of Development and the Interim Executive Director at the same museum, I was responsible for launching the development department, exceeding the annual fundraising goal, representing the museum at public events, and co-presenting at an international fundraising conference. I am honored to be of service to the outstanding nonprofit community and to help make donors dreams come true.
