Spellcaster is a structured literacy platform that supports spelling through phonics and morphology. Designed with older learners in mind, Spellcaster combines explicit instruction and gamified spaced practice with rich data and insights to support learners on their spelling journey. Released in late 2024, Spellcaster is currently being piloted across over 100 schools, speech therapy clinics and literacy intervention settings, particularly with learners aged 9-14, across Australia and New Zealand with extremely positive feedback. Spellcaster is the product of almost a decade teaching in urban and rural schools with teenagers who required significant literacy support. Every part of Spellcaster has been carefully designed to fit the needs of learners and those supporting them including parents, speech therapists, tutors and teachers.
